There's plenty to do on the Gold Coast......

To get away from the hustle and bustle, head to the hills and enjoy the peace and tranquility of Tamborine Mountain and the Hinterland area.  While you are there, take the time to enjoy the other attractions the Hinterland has to offer, such as Cedar Creek Estate Winery, Skywalk among the treetops and many spectaculr and picturesque waterfalls.  Just under an hour from the Coast, there are many daily tours available if you don't have your own transport.

For details on all these attractions and much more including discount and meal vouchers, pick up a copy of Hello Gold Coast, which is freely available from tourist information centres, or go to http://www.visitgoldcoast.com

or there is always the 70km of beach to swim, surf or walk any time of the day or night.  While the beach along the Gold Coast is beautiful, it can also be treacherous with strong undertows.  Always make sure to swim between the flags at the many designated swimming areas manned by fabulous volunteer surf life guards.

For those who enjoy a game of golf, there are many beautiful golf courses which are easily accessible.  Most of these golf clubs are open to visitors and don't require membership and also have bistros and bars offering meals and drinks at great prices.

Surfers Paradise is also home to the Q1 tower, which until 2011 was the world's tallest resident building.  The building boasts 360 degree views of the Gold Coast and the Hinterland, and is a great place to enjoy a drink or a snack.  And don't forget the fabulous Pacific Fair Shopping Centre with over 100 stores including boutique clothing stores and many great places to stop for a coffee to watch the world go by.

So much to do, so little time............
